The termination of an employee is never an easy process. Involving your IT team is important during this process so that the necessary precautions are taken to protect company information.
If proper steps are not taken by the Network Admin, the former employee could maintain access to the network including shared drives, applications, and email. Former employees who maintain access to a company’s network and data are a major security threat.
